Meanwhile, Fishergate Primary School in York is asking for help to remember local men who died in the First World War.
The school has begun researching the lives of 87 former pupils named on a memorial plaque in the porch of the school.
A spokesman said: "We are hoping that people will have memories to share with us which will allow the lives of these men to be presented in as much detail as possible."
