The Knavesmire in York will welcome women runners of all ages this weekend for the annual Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Starting on Saturday, the York Pretty Muddy has start time slots of 15 minutes between 1.15pm and 2pm.
The entry cost for participants over the age of 16 is £19, and for runners between the ages of 13 to 15 it is £10. Entrants must be 13 or over to take part in the Pretty Muddy event.
Also happening this weekend is the York 5k and 10k at the Knavesmire on Sunday morning.
Starting at 11am, both races will cost participants £15 for over 16s, while girls aged 6-15 and boys aged 12 or under will be charged £10 to enter. Entrants under the age of six will not be charged.
As well as willing runners, Race for Life is also looking for volunteers for both days over the race day weekend. Registration for voluntary positions can be applied for through the website.
This year's race aims to raise and spread awareness of breast cancer and is managed by Cancer Research UK.
Entries can still be submitted on the Race for Life website for this weekend’s events.
Wheelchair and pushchair access at the York Racecourse venue is available, as well as nearby car parking and refreshments.
