THE family of a mother of four whose body was recovered during a house fire near Selby has today paid tribute to her.

Jo-Anne Campbell whose identity has now been officially confirmed by police, was found dead when police and firefighters were called her home in the early hours of Monday.

Jonathan Longley, Ms Campbell's long-term partner, said: "Right now words cannot express the level of grief and complete and total loss we as a family feel.

"The loss of a mother, partner, friend are almost too much to bear. But the overwhelming level of kindness and consideration that has been shown has meant a great deal to all of us."

Police are currently treating the 45-year-old’s death as unexplained and extensive enquiries are currently under way.

Officers are still appealing for members of the public who may have information about the incident to get in touch.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw anything in the vicinity of the address between 11pm and 2am on the day of the incident.

Anyone with information should call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and quote incident number 12160098809.
