A "SIGNIFICANT" amount of suspected Class A drugs have been recovered by police.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information after the substance was discovered near the Osbaldwick area yesterday. (June 2)

It is now undergoing tests to confirm the type of controlled drugs involved.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This is an area that is popular with dog walkers, cyclists and runners. It is hoped local people may have information regarding any suspicious activity that could assist the police.”
