A BUSY North Yorkshire road was closed for more than three hours after a crash involving two cars and an ice-cream van.
The accident happened on the A661 near Spofforth and Stockeld Park just before 1.30pm on Sunday.
A photograph tweeted by officers at the scene showed the van was from Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream.
Police said nobody was seriously injured, but the amount of debris on the road and a difficult recovery job delayed the re-opening of the road until 4.35pm.
