Cllr John Dennis
THE East Riding of Yorkshire Council has a new council chairman.
Cllr John Dennis, who represents South West Holderness, will serve until May 2017.
Cllr Dennis, who was born and brought up in Hull, has been a councillor since 2011 and has lived in Hedon since 1967.
The charities Cllr Dennis will be supporting during his year in office are the RNLI and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Cllr Caroline Fox, who is ward councillor for Snaith, Airmyn and Rawcliffe and Marshland, has been elected vice chairman of the council and will also serve until May 2017.
