OH, how I agree with Derek Martin’s letter (The Press, April 30).

Can anybody in the country really want Charles to become king? I suspect not.

When our lovely Queen decides she has had enough, surely the whole country would be delighted if she appointed William and Kate to take over the country’s monarchy.

I believe they are well liked and respected by everyone and they already have a son to rule when the time comes.

I don’t believe anybody would question William’s abilities for this important position, whereas the same surely cannot be said about Charles.

I would be interested to hear the views of other readers.
