POLICE have appealed to the owner of a three-foot long corn snake found in York to contact them.
The orange snake, which officers have nicknamed 'Sammy', was found in a hedge close to the footpath in Holgate Road at about 1.20pm on Tuesday.
Sammy is currently being looked after by Acomb Pets, and North Yorkshire Police have urged the owner to contact the Force Control Room on 101, quoting reference 12160076442.
