A 64-YEAR-OLD man was treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Selby.
Officers from Selby were called to a newly-built house in Ash Way at 8.05pm on Friday to tackle a fire in the living room.
The 64-year-old man suffered slight smoke inhalation and was left in the care of his son-in-law and ambulance staff.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hosereel and a thermal imaging camera to put out the fire, which is believed to have been caused by radiated heat from a halogen lamp.
The living room suffered 10 per cent fire damage, while the rest of the house experienced slight smoke damage.
