SNOW has swept the North York Moors - just days before the Tour De Yorkshire is due to pass through.
An Arctic blast has made it look more like January than late April on the hills today.
These pictures show moorland roads between Castleton and Rosedale, as temperatures plummeted to just 1 C overnight.
But the good news for organisers of the big cycle race, which is due to cross the moors on Sunday, is that the weather is set to get much milder by the weekend, with temperatures rising to 10C by Sunday.
Meanwhile, there were more wintry scenes this morning at the appropriately named Cold Kirby, at the top of Sutton Bank, where heavy snow showers have covered the ground.
