TRAFFIC built up after a crash on the A64 in York.
The crash happened at about 3pm close to the Hopgrove roundabout with the A1237 near Monks Cross.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene by police and assisted with clearing up spilled diesel.
North Yorkshire Police said they were still at the scene, where one lane of the carriageway was expected to remain blocked for some time.

A police spokeswoman said there was only one car involved in the incident, nobody had been injured, and the vehicle had not overturned but was blocking the carriageway.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, or expect delays, and the road was reopened at about 5pm.
