A 20-year-old man has appeared before York Magistrates Court charged with supplying musician Liam Miller with the drugs that led to his death,
Mr Miller, 20, was killed by Samuel Donley, also 20, after both men had taken 251-NBOMe, a Class A drug similar to LSD.
Keiron Thomas Turley, 20, of Malden Road, Liverpool, is accused of supplying six tablets of the drug to Mr Miller between June 12 and June 24.
He denied the charge and the case was sent to York Crown Court where he will appear for a plea and trial preparation hearing on April 8. He was released on unconditional bail.
Mr Miller, of Terrington, died on July 27 after Donley, 20, had stabbed him at his home in Hamilton Drive West, Acomb, in a psychotic episode. Donley is currently serving a prison sentence of six years and eight months for manslaughter, which he admitted.
The drug is also known as 24i, INB-MeO, N-bomb, Smiles, Mr Happy, Solaris and Cimbi-5.
