SHOPPERS in Acomb have been treated to the amusing sight of a pancake race today.
Acomb Alive organised the annual event, which saw competitors running a 200 metre race outside Acomb shops while tossing pancakes.
Cllr Andrew Waller, one the the competitors, said: "It was a fun event to raise the profile of Acomb Front Street shops. It was held in the morning so sole traders could come along and have a bit of frivolity."
The winner was named as Sandra from Bachelor Hill.
