AN independent GP clinic is set to open on Stonegate in York city centre, offering private GP services and tailored health checks.

Dr Ben Sinclair, 39 and Mr David Grabowski, 31, open the doors of Stonegate Medical Clinic today to offer health consultations they say will benefit tourists and people with busy lives.

According to the clinic's website, a 15-minute GP appointment costs £75 and a GP home visit £150, with complete male and female health checks for people aged 18 to 45 costing £549, and £649 for over 45s.

Dr Sinclair, who has worked as a GP in York since 2006, said: "As a doctor I want to offer my patients a full range of relevant therapeutic options and give the time needed to provide an excellent service, empowering the patient to be in the driving seat on their health journey. I hope to have the privilege to be invited along as a guide.

"Consultations will be a minimum of 15 minutes with the option to extend, giving patients ample time to discuss their health concerns with experienced clinicians, access clinically appropriate tests and examinations which help us create an action plan including onward referrals.

"The clinic hopes to offer allied health services in house which are hard to access elsewhere, creating a healthcare hub of fitness, health and wellbeing."

Stonegate Medical Clinic, located just off Stonegate, will offer after-work, lunchtime, home visits and corporate medical consultations. Same day appointments for urgent medical needs will also be available on the day.

A discreet sexual health clinic will also make up part of the services as well as a travel clinic for vaccinations and a visiting corporate care service for workplace health checks.

The clinic, which will be open from 8am to 8pm will also provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
