A DRIVER suffered serious injuries in a crash near York.
The crash involved three vehicles and happened at about 5.15pm on Monday on the A1079 near Wilberfoss.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said a 73-year-old man from Market Weighton, was driving a silver Ford Fiesta which was in collision with a white Ford Transit van and a white Fiat 500.
The Fiesta's airbag deployed, and the 73-year-old suffered a broken neck, broken ribs, collarbone and elbow. He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.
A 44-year-old man from Hull, who was driving the Ford Transit, was taken to York Hospital for treatment for chest pains, and a 28-year-old Market Weighton woman, who was driving the Fiat 500, was taken to York Hospital with injuries to her neck and back.
The road was closed for several hours, and anyone who saw the incident, or any of the vehicles prior to the crash, should phone Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 376 of Monday, January 25.
