HUNDREDS of school children have pulled on their wellies to raise money for victims of the flooding in York.
Pupils aged four to 11-years-old from Wheldrake with Thorganby CE Primary School walked two miles as part of their muddy adventure.
Starting at the school, 224 children and staff walked along Black Lane South and through Wheldrake's fields.
The primary school has raised more than £500 in donations and hopes to receive more over the coming days.
The money raised will go directly to the York Flood Appeal, after several children’s families had been affected by the floods.
Alison Shaw, headteacher, said: "The children have loved the experience – they asked to do it again every year.
"They all wanted to go back out into the mud!"
