Police later said they had been told the bird was an emu, and managed to find its owner.
We have located the owner of the #emu 😊 Thank you for all your help 👍 Now it's the difficult task of getting the animal returned

The owner of the emu attended the scene and used food to lure it into a horsebox so it could be transported back to her property.
And we have 1 #emu in custody. I can confirm she is none the worse for her adventure 😊 pic.twitter.com/aIkzMam6vw
