IMAGES celebrating one of York's most legendary night spots have gone on display at City Screen.
Photographer Ceri Oakes was moved to take pictures to celebrate the venue after hearing the former Chinese restaurant and dance floor in Coney Street was closing.
Her pictures, taken last summer, show revellers drinking shots, dancing and making requests to the DJ - as well as an obligatory shot of a bucket of prawn crackers.

Ceri, 29, who works for a national photographic agency and is from York, said: "I took the pictures initially as I was an avid visitor of The Willow, was my favourite place to go on a night out, I even named my cat Willow after the place.
"I wanted to record an evening there and capture the atmosphere and unique interior and make sure there was a legacy left behind.
"I think the photos have been popular because so many people loved The Willow, which anyone who hasn't been totally wouldn't get if they looked at the photos!"
The positive response to Ceri's photographs led to an offer of the exhibition. The exhibition will run for six weeks at City Screen in Coney Street.
