A PILOT has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the glider he was flying crash landed.
The man is being treated at Hull Royal Infirmary for pelvic and abdominal injuries following the incident at Pocklington Airfield
Yorkshire Ambulance Service say they were called to the scene at 4.45pm today and sent a rapid response vehicle, amublance and air ambulance to the scene.
It is believed the glider was taking part in a competition run by the Wolds Gliding Club at the time of the incident.
