EMERGENCY services are dealing with a serious collision in the Pickering area.
A Citroen Relay white panel van was found overturned in the middle of the road on Low Moor Road, Newton-upon-Rawcliffe by a passer-by at 12.32pm today.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the male driver, who was the only person in the car, appeared to be seriously injured.
The spokesman said: "Both land and air ambulances attended the scene along with firefighters and the police.
"Local diversions have been put in place to allow the police to investigate the scene and for the vehicle and debris to be cleared from the road."
