A MAN has been arrested over an arson attack at a North Yorkshire house.
Three people managed to escape without injury after the front door of a house was set on fire in Howden Gardens, off Howden Road, Barlby, in the early hours of Monday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Police were called to the house at 2.45am, and an arson investigation started that day.
A police spokesman said on Thursday an 18-year-old man had since been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson with intent to endanger life, and released on bail.
Anyone with information on the incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the fire, should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
