POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a missing man who may have been seen in Pocklington.

Officers have been carrying out inquiries in a bid to find Andrew Bunby since he was reported missing more than a month ago, on March 17.

They are now focusing on the Pocklington area after two possible sightings of a man fitting Mr Bunby's description in the town. Mr Bunby, 33, of no fixed address, had not been seen by his family for several weeks although he usually kept in regular touch with them.

A police spokeswoman said he had also missed medical appointments which was unusual for him.

Posters were circulated around Hull but Mr Bunby has still not been found.

Police are now appealing to the residents of Pocklington and the surrounding villages to report any possible sightings.

Mr Bunby was known to often sleep rough.

He is described as white, slim, 6ft 2ins tall, with light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a beard and wears glasses.

Anyone with information should phone Humberside Police on 0845 6060222.
