TWO men have been bailed by police after cash was stolen during a raid at a mini-supermarket in York.
Thieves forced their way into Sainsbury's Local, in Bootham, at 3.10am on Monday and took money from the self-service tills, according to North Yorkshire Police.
The thieves also tried to raid the Sainsbury's Local store in Fulford, opposite the police station.
Police stopped a car in Shipton Road and arrested two men
Two men from Coventry, aged 32 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of burglary after their car was stopped on Shipton Road, but have now been bailed by North Yorkshire Police.
Inquiries into the incidents are taking place and officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
