BUDDING artists at a York primary school showcased their creative talents with a giant exhibition of their work.

Children at Robert Wilkinson School in Strensall, from the Early Years to the Year 6 pupils, took over the main hall to display their artwork for parents to view over two days.

Creations ranged from miniature houses to stained-glass work, with projects linked to curriculum topics.

Becky Fleming, the school’s marketing and communications officer, said: “Throughout the year, the children have been practising a range of art skills, from drawing and painting through to 3D and printmaking alongside developing their creative ideas through the use of the sketchbook.

“The exhibition is a celebration of their art work and shows the wonderful progression they have made.

“It is an absolute delight to see the work of all the year groups together in one display.

“The whole school has been given the chance to view the exhibition and we have invited parents to view all our hard work over the two days.”
