A YORK school boy’s tidy design has become an internet sensation.
Bootham School GCSE student, Edward Pulleyn had a viral hit on his hands following the submission of his comic book storage unit on the entertainment and social networking website Reddit where it eventually reached their front page, with over 170,000 views worldwide, and also made it onto their app.
The cylindrical wooden unit designed in school allows Edward to store away comics and magazines.
Head of DT at Bootham, Eamonn Molloy, said: “Woodwork enthusiasts of all ages commented on how well equipped the school’s DT department is and comic book collectors were amazed to come across such a unique storage solution.
“On the back of this, Jeremy Cook from MAKE: magazine interviewed Edward and Woodwork magazine have also been in touch.”
