THE family of a woman who died in a car crash near Castle Howard have paid tribute to her.
Valerie Clarke, 67, from Tadcaster, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on a minor road near the stately home on Monday night.
Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Valerie’s family said: “Our dear wife, mum, grandma and great friend, we have all been left devastated."
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them with information.
