A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after he was spotted reportedly driving erratically in York city-centre.
He was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro when he was stopped in Tower Street at around 9.20pm on Tuesday.
Police said on twitter that he gave a breathalyser reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath at the roadside, and a North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said his official reading was 80. The legal limit is 35.
The man, who is 30 and from Peterlee in the north east, remains in police custody.
