A MOTHER arrested in York over the safety of her children has been bailed by police.
Paramedics alerted officers to a property in the north of York at 8.30am on Tuesday, after concerns were raised for the children's welfare. They are now being cared for by social services.
The 29-year-old woman was taken into custody when police arrived at the scene.
It is believed one of the children had been unintentionally hurt by another child.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service would not confirm whether any of the youngsters were taken to hospital, nor say who called the emergency services.
The mum was arrested at 9.15am on Tuesday at the home on suspicion of two separate offences.
