WE all know it's the best place in Britain - but now a new survey has shed light on exactly what it is that people love most about Yorkshire.
A poll of 650 people found its natural beauty, food and drink were all popular - but nothing could top the love of Yorkshire people themselves.
The 10 most popular answers given in the survey were:
1 - The people (cited by 23%)
2 - The rolling yorkshire dales (21%)
3 - Real ale (15%)
4 - Yorkshire Pudding (12%)
5 - Breathtaking views (10%)
6 - The tea (7%)
7 - Betty’s tea rooms (5%)
8 - Sports (5%)
9 - The accent (3%)
10 - Sense of humour (1%)
The survey was carried out by Yorkshire-based Headway Recruitment for the "Why We Love Yorkshire" campaign. Mark Gill, the company's managing director, said: "The results don't surprise us. We work with the people of Yorkshire on a daily basis and they are friendly, honest and professional and they truly embody the spirit of Yorkshire.”
