FAMILIES enjoyed a great day out at the Ryedale Game and Country Fair, with something for everyone to enjoy.
The event, which took place over the weekend in the grounds of Scampston Hall, Malton, featured a falconry village with both native and some more exotic birds of prey.
There were racing terriers and a dog show and a craft village featuring working demonstrations, contemporary and traditional arts and crafts.
Meanwhile, chefs cooked up some tasty delights and regional producers sold food and drink, and children were able to throw a pot, learn how to fish with the Angling Trust, handle a gundog and get close to a hawk, and there was also more traditional children's entertainment on offer.
