POLICE are investigating after a man was robbed by a teenage girl in York.
The 40-year-old was walking in Lawrence Street, close to the Jet garage at about 4am on Sunday, March 29, when he was approached by the girl.
North Yorkshire Police said she engaged him in conversation before assaulting him, and a group of other people, believed to be men, attacked him from behind.
A spokeswoman said the victim suffered cuts and bruises after being kicked and punched, and the group stole his phone, wallet and other personal items.
