A WOMAN was taken to hospital last night after police were called to a York property.
North Yorkshire Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service were called to a property in Acomb Road at just before 8pm on Friday.
A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the scene following concerns for the safety of the female resident.
She said: "On arrival, police discovered a woman in her fifties and phoned an ambulance which took her to York Hospital's Accident and Emergency department."
A spokeswoman for the Ambulance Service said the woman was taken to hospital at 9.45pm.
The woman's condition is not yet known.
