IT IS no surprise to read of emails about the relationship between council planners and some developers (The Press, February 24).
David Wilson Homes is owned by Barratts and both companies have worked with York council for some time.
These big housebuilders are keen supporters of plans to allocate huge chunks of agricultural land for residential development; it suits their type of operation perfectly.
They love green fields. They hate inner-city dereliction.
I believe these interactions are neither appropriate nor normal business relationships.
