A MAN was arrested on suspicion of a drugs offence near York on Sunday.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, working from intelligence, stopped a black Mazda RX-8 on the A166 at Stamford Bridge Road at about 3.20pm.
The officers searched the car and arrested the 37-year-old driver – a Bridlington man – at just after 4pm on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Further searches were carried out on the suspect at the police station.
After questioning, the man was released on bail.
