A SUSPECTED drink driver from York has narrowly missed crashing over a bridge on to a motorway.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the crash which involved one car at the roundabout of the A1M and A64 at Bramham at about 5.50am on Sunday.
The car had crossed the roadside barrier and crashed into a wooden fence, the other side of which is a steep drop to the motorway below.
The 33-year-old male driver from York was given a roadside breath test and was arrested after being found to be above the drink driving limit, police said.
