IF City of York Council can justify transferring York Theatre Royal to York Conversation Trust for £1 because it is in the greater public good, then why can’t it transfer the former Airspeed Factory to Yorkshire Air Museum for the same reason?
The Reynard Garage has been a mess for years and all redevelopment schemes have fallen through.
But now we have a local man of the utmost integrity and proven track record with detailed plans to provide a new visitor attraction to the wider benefit of the city’s important tourist industry.
It makes perfect sense to support ideas that refresh and improve York’s attractions.
Ian Reed deserves to be given the opportunity to make his dream come true.
