CHILDREN of all ages took part in a local talent contest at York High School in Acomb.
The Razz York has Talent event featured 26 contestants from Razzamataz Theatre School aged from six to 17-years-old performing both music and dance.
The winner was Olivia Crowley who performed the Sia song Chandelier with Niamh Hinchley the runner up with her dance routine.
Olivia won a six month scholarship worth about £640, plus a lead role in the summer showcase at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. Niamh won a 50 per cent discount for two terms.
Razzamataz Principal, Angela Pickup, said: "The standard on the day was exceptional. The children put their heart and soul in to it. The show allows the children to shine in their own right rather than as a class.
"We have been very very surprised with some of the people who came out of their shells to audition."
The judging panel on the day included Minster FMs breakfast team Gayle & Ben, Beth Mc Carthy from BBC Ones THE VOICE , and London & Capitol Records latest signing "Frances".
