A GARAGE in Selby was completely destroyed last night in a fire started by a faulty tumble dryer.
Firefighters were called at around 10.30pm to a house on Coupland Street in Selby, where a domestic garage was on fire.
The garage suffered "100 percent fire damage" a fire services spokesman said, and while an adjacent garage was also left with minor fire damage the flames did not spread to the house.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in a tumble dryer.
