The burst water main in Tang Hall Lane
A BURST water main has caused traffic disruption in Heworth.
One lane was closed in Tang Hall Lane when the pipe became damaged, causing water to spill on to the street, partially flooding it.
Engineers attended the scene yesterday to repair the pipe.
Yorkshire Water believes supplies to homes in the area were not affected.
A spokesman said they had put two-way traffic lights in while engineers battled to stem the flow, and hoped to have the burst fixed by 8pm last night.
