PUPILS from a York school performed a special show for an elderly audience in the city.
The Huntington School Senior Citizens’ Christmas Tea was held on Wednesday, with a performance of The Wizard of Oz in front of more than 100 local senior citizens.
The guests watched the sixth-form pantomime and were given afternoon tea at the event, which was hosted by the Year 10 Health and Social Care Students.
The food was prepared by Year 10 Food Technology Students, and Father Christmas put in an appearance giving the guests gifts to take home.
A school spokeswoman said: "We were very grateful to Asda who supported the event by providing the Christmas crackers for our guests.
"The guests were, as always, very grateful and appreciative. Many of the students have made some new friends if in a different age bracket to most of their others.
