IN response to Wojciech Simpson's letter of November 13, I don’t think fireworks should be available for the public to buy at all.

There should only be one public display in every town, held by responsible persons. It is unbelievable that anyone over a certain age can buy fireworks.

They have got bigger and louder every year; it’s like an explosion when they are lit, and people, especially the aged who own pets, are deeply disturbed by them.

Ban the sale of them I say; bet the A&E unit was busy.
