POLICE are asking for the public’s help to find a York man who is wanted for recall to prison.
Scott Apps, 43, was released on licence earlier this year after serving part of a sentence for assault with intent to cause actual bodily harm - after he attacked two people at York Minster while the Archbishops of York and Canterbury were at a General Synod service in July 2013.
One of this victims - then the Archbishop of York's chauffeur - was left with damaged vision, tinnitus and other injuries after the attack.
Now Apps is wanted by police after he failed to comply with the terms of his licence.
Police say Mr Apps has connections to the Hackney area of London and officers are urging anyone, both in York and London, who has seen him or knows of his current whereabouts, to get in touch.
