SCHOOL pupils across York have been urged to take part in a competition to design the science lab of the future.
Students aged between 11 and 16 can win £20,000 of laboratory furniture for their schools by taking part in the contest, run by Innova Design Solutions.
Melanie Laing, director at Innova, said: "The Lab of the Future competition is a great opportunity for young designers and scientists of tomorrow to flex their creative muscles and let their imaginations run wild.
"The judges will be looking for ideas that are innovative and original, but entrants also need to take into account how the space will work for students and teachers and think about the health and safety issues involved."
The competition is open until Friday, February 27. For more information go to innova-solutions.co.uk
