THREE new celebrity ambassadors pledging their support to a Yorkshire children's hospice have spoken of their pride at being involved in the project.
Musician Mike Heaton - the drummer in Leeds band Embrace - has joined cricketer Ryan Sidebottom and ITV presenter Christine Talbot as an official ambassador for the Boston Spa based Martin House Children's Hospice.
Mike Heaton has been involved with 2009 since he was approached by the charity to endorse their new Centre Stage music fundraiser.
He visited the hostel and said: “I was blown away by Martin House and instantly felt that I wanted to help in any way possible. Having young children myself and recognising the importance of music therapy within the hospice, I felt a strong affinity, both as a parent and as a musician. I am delighted to have been asked to be an official ambassador for the hospice.”
Christine and Ryan have also been involved in the hospice for a number of years, and together the three are Martin House's first official ambassadors who will help by attending events, raising money, and raising awareness for the organisation.
