WHERE have all the whistlers gone? The sure fire fact that the everyday feel good factor has disappeared from every day modern life, is by the absence of the happy whistlers.
In my younger days you couldn’t go far without hearing a whistler. We were even regaled by no other than super whistler Ronnie Ronald on our black and white tellys, anyone remember him?
Everywhere you went you heard a whistler, paper boys, errand lads, milk men, postmen, road sweepers, building site workers .It’s sad I haven’t heard a whistler for years, have you?
