IT IS now clear that City of York Council is going to force through its unsustainable Local Plan without any infrastructure being put in place and ignoring about 94 per cent of residents who oppose the plan.
It has been said that the number of homes to be built has been reduced.
This is misleading to say the least as the number of houses to the north of York remains unchanged. This includes Haxby, Earswick and Clifton Moor areas.
It’s about time this council listened to the locals before they get deeper into the mire.
Bad decisions have and continue to be made and they will destroy the villages in the outer York areas. As has been said many times, the villages north of York are taking the brunt of this disaster waiting to happen.
It is about time this council came clean and faced the residents affected by this plan and listened.
