COULD I thank the enthusiastic volunteers who gave up their time on Saturday to help pick up litter after Tadcaster’s Duck Race, which you reported on Tuesday .
The Tadcaster Litter Collectors group have held ten litter-picks in the town so far and continues each week to work our way systematically through the town, with 102 bin bags of rubbish collected so far. This shows the scale of the problem we face here as we’re only a sixth of our way through the town.
We are in constant need of more volunteers to help us rid the town of rubbish and look forward to seeing a few new faces on our next litter-pick on Sunday, meeting at 2pm outside the Royal Oak .
