I AM pleased that M.C. Usherwood has realised that the proposed build of a further 17,000 houses in and around York could mean another 17,000 cars contesting for space on our already overcrowded roads (Letters, September 30).
It could be worse — it could mean an extra 17,000 bikes. Perhaps we ought to widen the footpath.
