I AGREE totally with Geoff Robb on the subject of the appointing of consultants to the council for all but the day-to-day business (Letters, September 27).
Just what are we paying these officials for if not to do the job themselves; why keep a dog and bark yourself?
Geoff is right in pointing out the question of blame. I am sure that on the meeting agendas of most companies the term AOB means “any other business.” For our council it would appear to refer to “avoidance of blame.”
