YORK Museums Trust is to receive £945,000 to ensure it can continue providing advice and support to museums across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The funding, which will come from Arts Council England’s Museum Development Fund, is intended to help the trust ‘drive development and deliver sustainability, resilience and innovation in England’s regional museums’.
The trust will continue to help museums across Yorkshire manage their resources, look after their collections and provide services.
It has already given advice on a wide range of subjects, such as collections management, energy saving, audience development and applying for funding, with 11 cash grants won.
